Exclusive ‘Majorca Training Camp’

Every April Running Crazy take over the newly laid track and brand new facilities at their ‘Running Crazy’ Exclusive Training Camp in sunny Majorca. They are resident for the whole month and so therefore you can choose for how long you wish to join us. It can be as little as 1 day or up to 3 weeks!

This is the perfect location for your ‘Training Camp’ and with the April Majorcan weather sure to be better than that back home – you will revel in the opportunities to try some new types of training. Even if it rains at least it will be warm rain! RC arrange a couple of informal competitions each week too – mainly time trials – so you can gauge your fitness levels. There is also a Half Marathon event towards the end of the month in the North of the island for those who wish to have some official competition.

These are the perfect Running Club / Charity Team breaks away, and with their good 3 Star Hotel on a half board basis just across the road, you have everything you could possibly need. The food is always great at RunningCrazy hotels and we get excellent reports from runners staying here. They can offer a 4 star hotel option if required, at a daily supplement. Many Clubs will bring their own coaches along, but RC’s qualified UK Athletics Coaches will be pleased to provide and oversee training schedules and sessions if required, free of charge. Many of their coaches are renowned Ex-International runners and athletics legends!

Each evening there will be the chance to socialise with other runners, and we will be showing educational and recreational running based films too. There is plenty going on in the local town for those who really want to let their hair down, and all in the knowledge that any excess will be worked off during training the next day! Training sessions will take place each morning and evening – and of course there will be the opportunity to take in some of the sights of the island each afternoon.

Just look at the opportunities for training here:-

New 8 lane tartan running track (Mondo).

Full field facilities.

Indoor facilities.

Floodlit Cross Country loop • Beach running.

Shady country lane running.

Level Grass running.

Sand dune training.

Swimming Pool nearby.

Open water swimming possible.

Racing Cycle hire available (or bring your own).

For further information just complete and send the Application Form and specify training break in the event box. We will send full details by return in either ‘Word’ or ‘PDF’ format.

Running Crazy Ltd are well versed in arranging race packages for Registered Charities and this was the overiding benefit that Running4Charity took into consideration when choosing their Travel Partner.
We are delighted to be able to offer these packages and welcome enquiries from either the Charities themselves or individual runners participating on behalf of a Charity. As well as the standard offer of transfer, accommodation and race entry, the specialist Charity packages can include the following:-

Met at continental Airport by ‘Running Crazy’ staff.

Group transfer from Airport to Hotel and return.

Hotel Rooming in same hotel and on same floor.

Running Crazy’ T-Shirt.

Charity mascot (or Teddy Bear supplied by us) photographed throughout the weekend.and indeed at various points on the race course, with photos then framed and mascot returned for use as a future raffle prize.

Charity name detailed in Runners Entry.

CD-Rom/DVD Video and Photo Postcard of each Charity runner in action.

Running Crazy Certificate confirming result for each charity runner.

The group prizes are available for groups of 10 or more, with one prize for every 10 runners. In addition to these prizes, for groups of 20 or more there is one free place. This can either be for the ‘Charity Representative’ or for one of the participants. Running Crazy undertake to look after the whole group from arrival to departure, with or without a charity representative.

The Company has a workforce of 10 people and the races in the RunningCrazy portfolio include races in Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, France, Holland, Norway, Sweden and Canada. The race calendar is growing all the time.

All the races follow the successful ‘Running Crazy’ formula:

At low cost airline flight destinations.

Met by ‘Running Crazy’ staff at the continental airport.

Escorted transfer to/from hotel.

Conveniently located good quality hotel accommodation usually half-board.

At established events where good links exist with the organisers.

Race Number/Chip/Goody Bag delivered to your hotel.

Early morning breakfast on race day if required.

After race get-together/party.

Optional tours.

CD-Rom souvenir of the race – with you in action!

At affordable prices.

Founder and Managing Director, Malcolm Hargreaves says: ‘I believe these short breaks are ideal for runners of all abilities, and particularly useful as an excuse for a Club getaway. The chance to run in a foreign town, try some different food, experience the culture and hospitality of the local people, and all have the common goal of completingthe race, brings a certain camaraderie. These are the memories you take back after the weekend. Price is an important consideration for runners and this is why the races are at low cost airline flight destinations, but so too is the reliability of service, and knowledge that you are in safe hands’.

These events are about enjoyment – enjoying the race, enjoying the company, and enjoying talking about it for months afterwards.
